Medical notes: The patient was admitted in a delirious condition. She was well nourished but anaemic to a marked degree. She complained of severe pain about the mastoid process, shooting down into the neck and up into the head, thumping sensations in the chest on exertion, and nausea after drinking anything hot.
Body parts examined in the post mortem: Pleurae, lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, spleen, intestinal canal, uterus, skull and meninges
