        Born in Sutton, Surrey. Brother of J.S. Higgs, also a Student at St George's Hospital Medical School. Student at London University. LSA 1904. MB BS 1906. MD 1911. MRCP 1907.

        Student at St George's Hospital Medical School 1898. Medical registrar, assistant curator of the museum, house surgeon, house physician and temporary assistant physician at St George's Hospital.

        Physician at the Belgrave Hospital for Children. Divisional MO at the Public Health Department. Lieutenant colonel at RAMCTF and acting colonel at AMS (TF). During First World War served in France in the British Expeditionary Force, on the ambulance train and at Casualty Clearing Station. CBE 1919. Livery at the Society of Apothecaries 1919. Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

        He married Dorothy Anderson. He died in 1924.
