Medical notes: This patient was admitted quite dead, having a somewhat superficial wound of the throat. He had been in the habit of ‘doctoring himself’ and often took laudanum for fits of delirium. He was accustomed also to use Sulphate of Zinc for his eyes, and sometime previous to his death remarked that there was enough to poison half a hundred men.
