Medical notes: 'Admitted for continuous vomiting bearing no relation to time of taking food. This had been in progress for 8 weeks prior to admission. No history of any urinary trouble beyond period of illness. Three weeks ago passed gravel this being accompanied by pain shooting down the thigh. After 2 days this ceased and since then has had simply diffuse abdominal pain. Liable to attacks of thick water for past 5-6 years'
