One of the first physicians and subscribers to St George’s Hospital, 1733. Resigned from St George’s in 1757 due to ill health. Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians in 1749. MD of Rheims 1726.
Married to Rebecca Middleton; they had a son, John Middleton Ross. He owned a house in Marlborough Street, London and land at Allerton in Somersetshire, and appears to have had familial connections in Jamaica.
