Disease (transcribed): Congested brain. Scrofulous tubercles in substance of 6” nerve and on medulla. Mucous membrane of kidney inflamed and bladder also. Paralysis. Extensive sloughs on sacrum.

Medical notes: This patient was admitted in a state of almost total insensibility, paraplegia, and paralysed also to a certain extent in his upper extremities. He was reported to have enjoyed excellent health up to seven weeks before admission, when he had a fall from a scaffold.
