Medical notes: 'She gave no history of any illness beyond some dyspeptic symptoms before Jan 10, 1879 when she had an attack of severe lumbar pain and vomiting. She became an in-patient Jan 20, 1879 with symptoms of pyelitis. There was indefinite fulness in the right hypochondrium and a profuse discharge of pus in the urine'
