Medical notes: The patient's usual winter cough had been present since December, with slight expectoration, occasionally blood stained; when six weeks before admission, the cough, expectoration, vomiting and diarrhoea suddenly increased and pain appeared in the front of the chest. He suffered from headache, was delirious and his legs swelled.
Body parts examined in the post mortem: Pleurae, lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, spleen, peritoneum, brain and intestines.
