Medical notes: 'History. Dec [December] 26th, patient took a chill and had sever attack of shivering: during the following week, she felt ill and had 'pains all over'. On Jan [January] 1 a second attack of severe shivering occurred followed by acute pain in the back; vomiting occurred once: lower part of abdomen became very sore. Since then, has been in bed with abdominal pain and dysuria: no further vomiting. Tendency to constipation. No similar attacks before: menstruat. [menstruation] irregular, small quantity'
