Weakly subject: always 'ailing': constant heavy pain in epigastrium: frequent sore throats and rheumatic pains: occasional diarrhoea, coughs, or headaches: unable to digest fat, which always caused vomiting; occasional pain after food: diaphoresis habitually free: catamenia somewhat irregular. Various pains, in abdomen, flanks of chest and elsewhere from July 1877. […] On Jan [January] 10th, attacked with delirium about noon: headache commenced with it and the appetite failed: the L. [Left] flank became more painful'
