A brother had died of 'Cancer of the stomach', beyond that there was nothing noteworthy. Pres. [Present] Illness. About 8 wks [weeks] before admission he had noticed pain in the Rt [Right] hypochondrium, which had gradually become worse, spreading over the whole abdomen, and occurring in paroxysms which appeared to have a special relation with taking food, coming on 10 mins [minutes] after ingestion. He had vomited once only before admission after taking indigestible food. There had been no haematemesis'
