Black and white and colour photographs of groups of student/pupil nurses and staff at St James' Hospital (excluding those taken at prizegivings, for which see NU/6/2/5/4), including photographs featuring cast members of the BBC nursing soap opera 'Angels', which was filmed at the hospital. Also includes an early sepia image (c. 1910s-1920s?) which is not explicitly labelled as St James', but was stored with the rest of this material.

Nurses' registers

Group of four registers (the first with its original label missing and the other three labelled 'Nurses' Register') recording details about student nurses including name, age/date of birth, religion, marital status, index number, date of entry, previous nursing experience, education, previous occupation, home address, and form of application. A few later items of correspondence have been inserted.

The date ranges of the volumes are as follows:

May 1947 – Oct 1962 [the information recorded in this alphabetical register – inaccurately labelled 'Register 1949-1954' - is more minimal than the later three, including only name, index number, and dates of entry/assessment/qualification or reason for discontinuation; the overlap in content indicates that it was used in tandem with the others to record completion/leaving dates]
Jan 1950 – Oct 1955
Nov 1955 – May 1961
Jun 1961 – Feb 1962

Wimbledon and Nelson training record binders

Four binders of student nurse training records, separated with alphabetical dividers. The records vary in form: those in the first volume include only name, age, dates of ward experience and leave, and dates of exam passes and any prizes; those in the remaining volumes also include address, index number, next of kin, religion, and remarks (but omit the ward experience details).

The date ranges of the volumes are as follows:

1940-1960 [note that this binder is in a larger format than the other three]
1940-1969 [though label on spine incorrectly states 'to Dec 1961']
1961-1970
1970-1974
