Eighty eight days before admn [admission], she suddenly felt giddy at night and things swam round her. […] About 5 wks [weeks] before admn [admission] she suddenly felt something burst in the L. [Left] hypochondr. [hypochondrium], and coughed up 'half a pot-ful' of thick matter, with a faecal odour: the pain was thereby relieved for about 3 days'
