Medical notes: A married woman who had three children, the catamenia ceased six months ago and the illness began soon after. In the course of some months she discovered a hardness in the region of the umbilicus.
Body parts examined in the post mortem: Abdomen. This patient died at her own residence one day after she had left the hospital at her own request. The abdomen only was permitted to be examined.
