But besides this cause for oedema albumineria was generally present, and as he had the marks of syphilis about his skin and no very markes cario-vascular changes the question as to the presence of lardaceous disease of the kidneys was discussed, and considered probable. He had a congenitally deformed rt. [right] wrist – a 'club hand'. During one of this stays in the hospital he had an attack of gout'
