Her face was pale & puffy, and she said was occasionally very much swelled; the legs & feet were very much swelled, and the abdomen was distended, chiefly with flatus, but giving also distinct fluctuation’

For a very long period she had scarcely been free from a slightly red-coloured discharge, but she had a severe flooding at times’
