Medical notes: 'A potman, who was stated to have had ‘fits’ of an epileptic character during the week preceding his admission, but how many of them was not ascertained. He had been ailing for some months whilst down in the country, & was treated by a medical gentleman for ‘languor & debility’. Two days before admission he had a severe seizure, & for a short time lost the power of his right side’
