Medical notes: This child was an inpatient in April with varicella, thrush, corneal opacities, purulent ophthalmia and anterior staplylomata. He later attended the hospital as an outpatient for malnutrition, severe vomiting and diarrhoea. He was admitted on this occasion with in a wasted condition with the same symptoms.
