The dates entered are the covering dates, not the dates of creation or accumulation of the register. Some entries provide details of student qualifications, working life, dates of birth and death, and other information.

Three hardback lecture notebooks containing notes made by J. [or possibly I.?] Moss while a student nurse at St George's, c.1921-1922. The subjects covered in each book are as follows:

  • Bandaging, Etiquette, Medicines & Drugs, etc (with some printed summaries inserted), 1921
  • Dr Collier's lectures (Medical Lectures to Nurses in their Second Year – with printed summaries pasted in), c.1921-1922
  • Surgical Lectures given by Mr Frankau (with list of subjects and page numbers – corresponding to a textbook? - inserted), 1922

A. A. Milne song books

Set of three volumes of musical settings of words by A. A. Milne to music by the composer Harold Fraser-Simson, with illustrations by E. H. Shepard, published by Methuen & Co. All three volumes contain the inscription: 'This is a presentation copy for the Victoria Hospital for Children'. Includes:

  • The King's Breakfast, 1925
  • Songs from "Now We Are Six", 1927 [signed by Milne, Fraser-Simson and Shepard; also includes an inserted copy of a poem, 'For the Opening of the Children's Home (Victoria Hospital, November 23rd, 1922)', signed by its author Alfred Noyes]
  • More Very Young Songs, 1928 [signed by Milne, Fraser-Simson and Shepard; most pages still uncut]

The Dragon

Set of issues of The Dragon, an apparently short-lived magazine for St George's nurses (c.1928-1929) which published comic verse and prose as well as internal news. Includes issues 1-2 and 4-5 of vol. 1, though it is unclear if a vol. 2 was ever produced; issue no 5 includes a crossword which has been filled in.

Tracheostomy tubes

Two metal tracheostomy tubes (aka cannulae) with obturators (aka pilots) inserted. One of the tubes is manufactured by Allen & Hanburys, London.

Urethral sounds

Boxed set of 12 metal urethral sounds of increasing diameter, manufactured by Arnold & Sons, London. Also includes one additional loose sound (with 'K7' scratched on the handle) that does not belong to the set.
