Medical notes: The man, while drinking his tea, suddenly became unconscious but soon recovered sufficiently to answer questions, saying he had pain in his head. On admission he was breathing quietly and his face was drawn. Both pupils were contracted, unaffected by light. Both arms appeared to be rigid, the left lay quietly by his side.
