She can give no account of the origin of her complaints, but the symptoms have become gradually more severe up to the present time’

There was also great pain & swelling of the left knee & ankle, any motion of these joints causing agony. On the back of the right hand & forearm there was also an abscess which was opened soon after her entrance to the hospital’

The accident occurred at 2pm on the 2nd of April. He was perfectly sober at the time, when picked up was not insensible. He was carried home & attended by a medical man in Westminster who found him palsied in the lower extremities’
