About eight months ago she noticed difficulty in swallowing, and that she had a lump in the throat which had gradually got larger.

No breathlessness, but slight discomfort in the abdomen and some vertigo. Grave’s disease was first diagnosed in 1923, when he was treated with iodine and bromides on several occasions.
