He was in good health till March 3rd when he shivered, felt ill, and took to his bed. His doctor diagnosed ‘congestion of the lungs’. His chief symptom was dyspnoea. He kept his bed for 5 weeks. From May to September he was able to work 2 or 3 times a week’
