Medical notes: '1st admission. This boy was an I.P. [In-patient] here in '98 [1898] with well marked syphilitic lesions of the joints and bones which cleared up under Pot: Iod: [Potassium Iodide] – Whilst in the Hospital he appeared peculiarly susceptible to Erysipelas, suffering from several attacks. His condition otherwise precisely as on his second admission this year - 2nd admission. He complained of nothing in particular beyond dull yellow colour, and of weakness and 'want of spring' in his legs'
