Two years before admission noticed difficulty in passing water which in two or 3 months became so bad that he applied at the Stone Hospital and was there taught to pass a catheter for himself. For a year urine has been thick and ill smelling. Frequent incontinence at night. Four days ago pain prevented passage of an instrument – In 6 hour urine began to dribble away and continued doing so up to admission'
